Manta teams up with Squash Dat! Manta World Sport is excited to announce our recent partnership with the Crescent City Squash Foundation (CCSF) in New Orleans, Louisiana. CCSF is a Louisiana non-profit corporation whose principal mission is to promote the game of squash, health and general well being in the greater New Orleans area. Through Squash Dat!, its urban youth initiative, the Foundation (will) use the game of squash to reach out to the significant urban youth community and help each child realize his or her potential, while also providing consistent, long-term and reliable support to these children and their families. In the wake of Hurricane Katrina five years ago, the urban youth of this wonderful city face a myriad of hurdles towards their positive life advancement, both from an educational and personal support perspective. Squash Dat! provides a vehicle to bridge these gaps through its after-school program, which involves both structured and consistent weekly squash instruction, academic tutoring, mentoring, counseling, leadership and community service activities throughout the school year. Providing these children with these types of opportunities at that critical time during their school week can serve to not only change, but in some cases save, their lives.
