Manta World Sport - Back in Black: Launches New Line and New Website

Manta World Sport is offering its brand new product line in January 2007 and their line will include new racquets with new graphics all available for viewing on their revamped website www.mantasport.com. For the singles player, Matrix Ice is back with new graphics and a shifting of the balance point. The Extreme is also back by popular demand and they have introduced a new model for 2007 called The Patriot with a flashy new look in red, white and blue. Other new models will follow throughout the year. For those long-time Manta fans, The Classic 6500, remains in the 2007 racquet line-up. This frame continues to have the retro look of an old-school wooden racquet.

With the popularity of doubles play rising again, Manta reintroduces their most famous doubles racquet (M-6000) which has been renamed Double Trouble. There is also a full line of grips (Master, Rib, Tacky, and Classic Tan), string available in single packages or 200 meter rolls (yellow or white), mens and ladies shoes, bags (Club and Travel) and both men’s and women’s apparel.

Since 1975, Manta (originally a division of Yonex Canada but now independent) has been manufacturing and selling squash racquets. Manta continues to be an industry leader with its 100-day racquet guarantee, proof of an enduring commitment to quality in racquet design and manufacture.

Brooke Siver, the new owner, plans to continue with that commitment by heading up and promoting squash with Manta World Sport. Brooke brings to Manta a strong squash and badminton background. An NCCP Level 3 Squash Coach, a certified coaching course conductor, officiating certification instructor and the former President of Squash British Columbia, Brooke has been promoting and is a strong advocate for squash across North America and the Caribbean for almost two decades

Assisting Brooke in the rebirth of Manta is graphic designer Robert Pacey who's company Pacey + Pacey Design is responsible for the look of the new line. Robert is also the owner of S.C.R.U. Squash and Squash Republic. S.C.R.U. Squash, a Canadian online racquets and apparel company, features the Manta products which can be purchased at their online store.

Justsquash.com is a US online distributor and also offers Manta frames.

Manta has also teamed up with RAD Sport Eyewear and J PRICE Squash Balls. For those who have been around the squash world awhile, you may remember J PRICE had manufactured one of the original, widely used squash balls.

Manta sponsors players and events all over the world and promotes both the game of squash and Manta products as top notch squash equipment.
